Bibles of Dynasty

As I've said in the german part of the forum, I've recently purchased the bibles of seasons 3, 5, 6 and 7.
Today, I'll expose to you the original stories of the second part of season 7 (episodes 12 to 2 that never materialized.

Season 7:
Ben kills Caress in a car crash after her return in Denver and Emily commits a suicide. Later, Alexis and Ben are forced to marry each other in order to avoid the prison (because it is revealed publicily that they lied during the trial of season 6). Dex finds out that Ben was suspected of having killed his two first wives in Australia but Alexis doesn't trust him. Ben discovers that Michael Torrance had a half-brother born one month after him and is sure that it's Adam. He blackmails Adam in order to have control of Colbyco. When Alexis is finally aware of the blackmail, she is convinced that Ben will try to kill her.
Michael and Amanda marry but Clay, now divorced of Sammy Jo and somehow manipulated by Alexis, is trying to separate them. Krystle learns that she has tumor and tells anyone except Dex. She hires a nurse in order to replace her if she dies. The nurse, Andrea, is attracted by both Dex and Blake. Blake learns that Colbyco has a lot of debts because of all the recent purchases of Alexis (The Denver Mirror, The Carlton...) and the bank that lends money to Colbyco is on the verge to fill for brankrupcy. So Blake wants to buy it and forces Alexis to give back the money (something she is unable to do - as Blake at the end of season 6).
Gary Tilden, Michael Culhane and Zach Powers are all linked to each other since they earned a fortune in 1983 at the New Orleans thanks to Ray Bonning, the right-hand man of Logan Rhinewood (Cecil Colby). Because Michael Culhane is terribly pleased to have became the son-in-law of Blake, he tells him the truth about Bonning. Blake, Amanda and Michael are going to testimony against Bonning at the D.A. district when their car is destroyed in a explosion (that was the original cliffhanger).

Actually, the cliffhangers are most of the time changed at the last minute. For instance, in season 3 the original cliffhanger was that Mark was supposed to turn insane and try to disfigure Krystle. The cliffhanger of season 6 was also different.
On the other hand, the cliffhanger of season 5 is not mentionned in the bible but it can be guessed that it's the same that the one we know (it's interesting to point out that the cliffhanger is also missing in the script of the episode "Royal wedding"!!)

I guess the cliffhangers are mentioned in the bibles only when the producers know that they are a little weak and that they won't keep it.
The original cliffhanger of season 7 was too close of the end of the episode "the car explosion" (season 2) for instance.

In the original cliffhanger, a man rings at night at the mansion. He wants to talk to Blake in order to learn him a shocking news: he is the true Adam Carrington and the Adam everyone knows is an impostor.
It is implied that it's Steven and Claudia who found out the real Adam. Their story was different for both of them. Steven moves in a flat with Bart Fallmont and Danny but Adam breaks their love story by stealing some confidential documents about the pipeline to Bart and letting intended that Steven stole them. Feeling betrayed, Bart leaves Denver and Steven. With the help of Claudia, who has discovered something about Adam when she left to Montana, Steven is decided to have a revenge on Adam. Claudia doesn't died and at the very end of the season she meets Garett Bodston and starts a romance with him.

Other differences in the bible are that Caress and Ben were not mentionned. They were added later in the season. An affair between Michael of Moldavia and Sammy Jo was also added later. When the audience decreased too much, Michael was dismissed and replaced by a new character, Clay Fallmont. The encounter between Michael and Sammy Jo was written into the original version of the episode "the dismissal". At the same time, Adam sleeps with Elena of Brana!

The big story of the second part of season 6 was a trial: Amanda hurts Dex by accident with the gun of Michael and is accused of having tried to kill him. Later, it's Michael who is accused.

Krystle has a nervous breakdown like in the episode "Souvenirs" but in much longer (until the end of the season).

The bible mentioned that Joel Abrigore was supposed to appear later in "the Colbys" (probably in order to extort some money to Fallon and Jeff).

More about season 6:

At the time the writers were writing the episode "the quarrels", a meeting was set between all the members of the staff. It was decided to "spice up" the storylines with adding Ben and Caress and new elements:
- It's Rita and not Joel that will give the poison to Blake.
- Galen would manipulate Alexis in order to steal money from her (originally, he was really in love with her but Alexis couldn't marry him beause she was unable to leave Denver again and her children)
- Elena from Brana is back (what an useless addition!!). While Claudia was in Montana, Adam and Elena have an affair ( )
- After Amanda leaves him for Dex, Michael of Moldavia starts an affair with... Sammy Jo!!
- Ben would suit Blake in court but the rest of season was still different that what we know (no ultimate war between Blake and Alexis but an alliance of Ben and Caress!)

That was not enough to save the ratings so three episodes were rewritten and some characters were written out. It is obvious that Clay Fallmont was introduced in order to take the lines that were supposed to be given to Michael (Amanda would try to get him back after she had realized she still loves him).
The cliffhanger was changed then. At some point, the new cliffhanger was that Alexis discovers the duplicity of Ben. He now has a motive to kill her! During the engagement party of Dominique and Garrett, Alexis says to Ben that she gets in her safe a proof of his duplicity and she is going to expose it. We were supposed to see Alexis going into her office and opening the safe that blows!! But the woman throwned to the floor and looking to Alexis is NOT Alexis but Caress. She was planting the bom (since she was supposed to be the ally of Ben) and it went off accidentally!
